Armour Oaks was the first retirement community we looked and we fell in love with it. We liked the independent living apartments but decided on one of the Garden Villas. These senior living homes were just the right size and the perfect transition to retirement living. We didn't need to look anywhere else. We'd found our new home!‎

We've lived in an independent living villa at Armour Oaks Senior Living for six years and we've never been sorry for one minute. We looked at several Kansas City retirement communities, but Armour Oaks was the best for price and convenient location. When we first moved in, we felt like we were on vacation. We never have to worry about anything. Even something as small as changing a light bulb is handled with one call. If I don't feel like cooking, we can go to Legacy House to eat or even have meals delivered! We have a beautiful deck where we sometimes have parties. Like I said, living here is just like a lifelong vacation!‎

We moved into one of the independent living Garden Villas at Armour Oaks Senior Living Community. We have seen many examples of how caring and responsive the staff is. Maintenance cheerfully studied the manual for our treadmill and installed it for us. After our casual comment about a light out over our desk, a new bulb appeared magically. Maintenance even provided a drill bit for one of my home repair projects. We also have access to the great nursing staff at Assisted Living. They have helped us evaluate some medical issues, avoiding unnecessary trips to the hospital. We knew we had made the right move when the first snow fell, and the sound of scraping outside was not made by my shovel!‎

When we relocated to Kansas City, my parents decided to follow us, and felt they were ready to live in a senior living community near us.  I spent several weeks looking for a community that would suit them.  Most of what I saw did not impress me and  were too expensive.  They offered lots of bells and whistles, but did not give me a sense of real community.  Then, I discovered Armour Oaks.  The location was perfect, and the campus beautiful.  My parents saw the Garden Villas and also fell in love with the community.  My parents have lived at Armour Oaks for several months, and just love living there.  The residents are caring and friendly, and watch out for each other every day.  The staff of Armour Oaks is exemplary, giving the residents the peace of mind that they are in good hands.  The activities offer something for everyone, and the entertainment is always fun.  I would not hesitate to recommend Armour Oaks to anyone interested in joining a beautiful, vibrant and caring senior community.
